The typically reserved and quiet Jamie xx made quite a bit of noise last night, announcing a release date for his debut album on Young Turks, “In Colour.” The title as well as the album artwork explain his recent tear of Instagram posts with a swatch of a single color.

“In Colour” is composed of eleven songs, and features appearances by fellow members of the xx, Oliver Sim and Romy, as well as a more unlikely collaboration with Young Thug and Popcorn.

Along with the announcement, Jamie released two new songs, “Gosh” and “Loud Places” (feat Romy). The latter came with yet another gift, a video of Jaime and Romy skateboarding in a park, and taking us on a tour through their old stomping grounds in London.

Finally, tune into BBC Radio 1 tonight at 12:00am EDT for a brand, spanking new Essential Mix with long-time friend and collaborator, Four Tet. Click here for additional details.

Take a listen to the tracks so far at his site, and Pre-Order “In Colour” here. The Deluxe 3-Vinyl LP looks particularly pretty.
