One of the most fundamental bands in the rise of jamtronica, STS9, have announced that their bassist David Murphy has parted ways with the Atlanta based group. Subsequently, the remaining tour dates on their winter tour have been canceled. At this time, no reasons have been given for Murphy’s departure.

Needless to say, some dedicated ticket-holders were less than happy. One wrote “You guys should have done this in your own time, not when you have a full tour booked. Creative differences are one thing, but you have to fulfill your professional obligation first. Especially when all of your fans are counting on it. Unreal.”

Another commented, “Seriosuly?! The week before the tour? I have plans for, that cost real money, for Oakland and Tahoe. This is absolute bullshit, fuck you murph, Cherub will never be anything, HUGE MISTAKE.”
