While the nasty and gritty dubstep like that of Excision, Datsik, and 12th Planet have led the way, SchoolBoy is continuing to make a name for himself with his own special brand of melodic and 8-bit inspired chaos. 2012 has been quite a year for the LA-based producer, as he has now had multiple releases including his recent single “Aftershock” on Dieselboy’s SubHuman label and his earlier EP on Excision’s Rottun Recordings. With this latest treat, schoolboy looks back at the Science Project EP and reworks his 110-BPM hit, “Zombies At My Neighbors” into a drumstep beast now titled, “Zombies Ate My Homework!”
Schoolboy’s sound is aggressive, chaotic and melodic. Touching on classical, modern bass, and 8-bit inspired synths, Schoolboy’s productions always stand out from the rest. Heavy piano leads, pounding snares, and a symphonic feeling this track combines it all to make a gargantuan beast. Grab the free download, turn up the subs and jam out!
