I’ve been reviewing electronic music for almost three years now, and I can say without a doubt that electronic remixes of hip hop have been some of my favorite discoveries. When executed properly, they can be transformed from soulful ghetto rap to a crunchy and glitchy banger. Just take the Glitch Mob remix of All The Cash from Evil Nine, for example.
Continuing on this path of hop hop / glitch hop fusion, K Theory has already made amazing progress in their relatively young career. Since 2011, the San Francisco duo have already produced over 50 chart-topping hits, definitely marking their territory in their genre.
Their latest track Notorious features samples from the 1997 track Notorious Thugs from Bone Thugs ‘n’ Harmony featuring The Notorious Big, on top of a broken glitch beat and futuristic laser synths.
I started this website in 2009 as a means of sharing my EDM findings with my friends. Since then, the website has experienced an explosion in growth that I never once imagined. This excitement and growth inspires me to make ElectroJams the #1 source for new electronic music.
