Just found these guys on last.fm the other day and decided to check 'em out. I instantly fell in LOVE. They are a jamtronica band similar to Lotus I guess. Some people describe them as "space funk" or "space jam" haha...

Their music can be sampled at http://www.particlepeople.com/media.html

Here's a decent YouTube video of their love performance:

I don't get why these guys haven't blown up in the past few years. They are easily just as talented as Bisco, STS9, or Lotus. I'd call them a mix of Lotus, New Deal, and Umphreys. I add Umphreys because these guys can drop some seriously heavy jams at times. I'd love to see them do a little more extensive touring and snag some more festival spots
Word, I agree with you completely. They are a perfect blend of jam and electronic...
they used to be bigger than they are now. They arent a new band by any means. they have gone through a lot of changes in terms of who is in the band. They started with one guitarist who left, then they got two guitarists who both left. Now it is just the core three who are still together. here and there Ben Combe one of the two guitarists plays with them. They dont have the vibe that there older stuff did now. I saw them earlier this year and was less than impressed. However Molitz is still wild on the keys. He is all that keeps these guys going.
Cool, you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about your music... Glad to have you hear! Smile

I just stumbled upon some interviews with Steve Molitz and Ben Combe for anybody whos interested in getting a little more of a feel for these guys.
