Zeds Dead and Zomboy and GriZ, oh my (Zedd)!
Summer Set Music & Camping Festival (SSMF) announced their lineup today, returning to the Somerset Amphitheater for its 6th year on Friday, August 11 through Sunday, August 13.
This year’s headliners include the house x dubstep duo Zeds Dead (Friday), coming hot off the heels of their highly acclaimed 2016 debut LP Northern Lights, the candy dance-pop of Zedd (Saturday), and topped off on Sunday by some dude with a sax named Grant…
A wide spectrum of heavyweight acts includes hybrid hip-hop pair Run the Jewels, deadly South African beat scientists Die Antwoord, grandfather of trap music RL Grime, Canadian dubstep powerhouse Datsik, fiery up-and-coming hip-hop star Post Malone, champion of melodic dance music Seven Lions, and energetic UK bass producer Zomboy.
If you like bass and especially if you like it heavy, this is a pretty perfect lineup for you. This has been the direction the festival has been gradually moving to over the past few years. With the stark lack of attendance at Claptone and Rufus Du Sol against the overwhelming attendance at Marshmello, you can’t really fault them for the shift.
