The methadone to your Daft Punk heroin, Justice, are back with their first album in five years, and it’s everything you could hope for from that other French production duo.
Unless you like the really heavy bits of Justice’s past work. Then you might feel like this comes up a bit short. There are bits and pieces in tracks like ‘Randy’ and ‘Heavy Metal,’ but on the whole, the ten songs average out as pretty tender nu-disco.
It’s also worth noting new Daft Punk dropped today, a collab with The Weeknd that probably won’t satiate that French house jones like you want it to. But if you’ve got some kind of yearning for 80’s Lionel Richie, you’ll be all set.
