When I first reviewed Clockwork last August with his breakout single “Titan,” I professed about his unique future bass sound that totally blew me away. The rising producer from LA is back yet again with another smashing release. “Surge” kicks off with a progressive sound, almost reminiscent of NERVO’s track “Reason.” Soon after though it kicks in to high gear with a nice clean house beat featuring the vocals of Wynter Gordon. “Tremor” is features lots of bleeps and bloops and an ultra-filthy electro-style synthesizer.

“Surge” definitely represents the forward-thinking talent that Clockwork possesses and I can’t wait to hear what he’ll do next.
