Chords – In Lightspeed
Brittish phenom producer Chris Ansah, better known throughought the Drum n’ Bass realm as Chords, has been gaining rapid recognition since he showed up around mid 2011. His ability to keep his deep, soulfull tracks funky and interesting is a talent hard to find in contemporary DnB. I see him as a sort of nuskool Roni Size. Being a classically trained pianist growing up in a musically-focused home, it only makes sense that Chords’ father’s love for funk and jazz mixed with his brothers obsesison with jungle, lead him in the direction he went as a producer. The path he took earned him instant support from heavy hitters like Netsky, Matrix and Chrissy Criss (BBC Radio 1).
His newest release that just dropped yesterday on Regal Records demonstrates a benchmark in his production tallent, and does a great job of representing the deeper side of DnB. Check it out below and pick up your copy from the iTunes store.
