Cirque du Soleil planning “Light” nightclub in Las Vegas

I was actually kidding when I made this statement, but back in January of this year I called Cosmic Opera the “Cirque du Soleil” of raves. Evidently the Canadian company didn’t like that sentiment (just kidding, I don’t think they read my blog) because they’ve just announced they’ll be opening their own club in Las Vegas. Funny how times change, as the Sin City used to be known for gambling and you know what, and now it’s slowly shifting to an electronic music capital.

Usually I bitch about things like this, but honestly I actually support this. Cirque du Soleil puts on what is easily one of the most impressive and visually stunning stage shows, so I can’t imagine what their venue will be like.
